Kid Relentless at Home

By Marissa Pellegrino

Recently I created Kid Relentless at Home, a series of fitness and gymnastics videos that can be done anywhere you can bring your computer. Essentially, you are taking a class with me outside the studio.

These are instructional videos that will enhance your skill level and strength and act as an addition to your classes or as a substitute! Check out Kid Relentless at Home!

90 Years of Women’s Rights!

By Marissa Pellegrino

Today marks 90 years since women were given the right to vote. It is amazing to think that without those involved in the movement for women’s rights, I may not have had the opportunity to be who I am today!

Each day I do my best to be a strong and independent woman for myself and as a role-model to young girls. Being a teacher, I encourage my girls to be confident, ambitious, hard working and goal-oriented. However, ninety years ago it was not a woman’s role to be a thinker or a leader, instead it was to follow. Susan B. Anthony and other dedicated activist fought for our right to be equal in this country, and I am proud to reap the benefits of their efforts!

In honor of our 90 years, I would like to share this spectacular story that reflects the journey and struggle of a movement that paved the way for me and so many others – ENJOY!

“It was we, the people; not we, the white male citizens; nor yet we, the male citizens; but we, the whole people, who formed the Union. And we formed it, not to give the blessings of liberty, but to secure them; not to the half of ourselves and the half of our posterity, but to the whole people — women as well as men.”

- Susan B. Anthony

Rebecca Bross is Boss

By Marissa Pellegrino

HARTFORD, Conn., Aug. 14, 2010 – Rebecca Bross of Plano, Texas, won her first Visa Championships all-around title with a score of 120.300 at the 2010 Visa Championships at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn. She also took top honors on both the balance beam and uneven bars, with a silver medal for the floor exercise.

“I felt really good,” said Bross, who trains at WOGA. “I made all of my routines and I did what I hoped to do. [Winning the Visa Championships] was always a big goal for me and I’m just happy to be able to do it now.”

Check out her AWESOME bar routine!

KMC Dance Intensive!

By Marissa Pellegrino

On July 28th, 2010, Relentless Fitness hosted an Acro/Tumbling clinic for the KMC dancers. Eight students participated in an hour long class that focused on stretching, tumbling, and strength. We had so much fun, and the girls got to practice new elements that I know will enhance their dance ability!

Thank you so much to the KMC Dance program and to all the girls, you did a wonderful job!

Kid Relentless in The Philadelphia Inquirer!

By Marissa Pellegrino

Extra, Extra, Read All About It! Kid Relentless was featured in an article about kid fitness in Philadelphia.
Check out the article at Philly.com

Holding Pellegrino’s hand, Jacob Weisgold, 21 months old, carefully maneuvered his way along a balance beam as his father, Dean Weisgold, looked on. “He’s so good!” Weisgold said. “Isn’t he?” said Pellegrino, beaming. Jacob jumped off the beam and grinned.

There are a lot of programs out there helping kids move, and Kid Relentless is happy to be among those motivating youth to be fit!

Thanks to all the parents who attended and Aubrey Whelan for the great piece!
